Laser Welding Monitoring

Our laser welding measurement devices measure the output power and detect changes and errors. The laser power at every welded point and the reflected laser beam can be measured and assessed and the details can be saved.

Key Features:

  • Both the emitted and reflected laser beams during welding can be measured and the details can be saved, hence controlling the process.
  • Images of the samples after welding are taken by a CCD camera, and can be monitored and saved.
  • The upper and lower limits can be set based on the data of results from good welds, and an alarm is triggered when the measured data is out of the set range.
  • The laser power and reflected beam intensity are displayed with the time records in a graphical format.
  • Measured data can be saved in a graphical format to enable rapid checking of the production process records.
MM-L300A - Laser Weld Monitor

The MM-L300A laser weld monitor helps to ensure weld quality and maintain high throughput by providing realtime feedback during the laser welding process to ensure weld success. MM-L300A works by detecting and recording a thermal signal from the area of laser interaction during the welding process. The SU-N300A thermal sensor samples the signal and provides an output waveform around which envelope limits can be set.

MM-L400A - Laser Weld Monitor

The MM-L400A real-time laser welding process monitor captures high resolution waveforms of the weld process in the Laser reflection, VIS, and IR wavelength regions, in addition to measuring the laser power. The monitor can also be networked. The compact, lightweight unit supports laser welding technologies for spot or seam welds.
