The Jupiter Laser Welding System on display is a semi-automatic production system for welding high-quality battery modules for electric vehicle, power tool, aerospace, and military battery module applications. The system is ideal for battery modules measuring 300 x 300 x 300 millimetres, with typical weights up to 20 kilograms. It is suitable for thin- to medium thickness battery tabs in nickel, Hilumin, aluminium, copper, and brass.
Also on display is the AWS3 Active Welding System, which combines pneumatic weld heads/weld pincers with an inverter power supply in one system. With its variety of interfaces, AWS is easy to integrate for automation. The complete system is an integrated solution providing process control, monitoring, and quality analysis.
Stop by the stand to see the innovative TR-T0016A Touch Retract TIG Torch, a hand-held tool developed specifically for welding conductive thin-sheet material. With its consistent welding performance in an easy to use form, the TR-T0016A is ideal for assembly of battery modules and packs in many configurations.
The versatile and easily configurable WL-100A Pulsed Fibre Laser Welding System on display is an advanced processing system that enables the joining of aluminium and copper battery tab material, which reduces resistance and improves performance. Shown paired with both a 50W and 70W pulsed fibre laser, the system works well for welding copper (Cu) to aluminium, aluminium to stainless steel and steel, and copper to stainless steel.
