AMADA WELD TECH, innovator of creative joining and metal processing solutions and BMZ Group, a global specialist in lithium-ion battery manufacturing, are pleased to announce their latest deal. BMZ signed to invest over €11 million, acquiring welding systems from AMADA WELD TECH, for its battery production. This major investment in BMZ’s German production capacity is dedicated to serve growing demand in the booming energy storage solutions market.

AMADA WELD TECH, formerly Amada Miyachi Europe, is pleased to announce the new company name, effective April 1, 2020. This name change will allow the company to present themselves as an AMADA group company with the highest experience in welding and associated precision technologies.

AMADA WELD TECH provided its expertise to the team during the design and development of the batteries, leveraging its long-standing market leadership with battery pack welding solutions for electric vehicles. 

AMADA WELD TECH announces that it has acquired Macgregor Welding Systems of Suffolk, England, a leader in the design and manufacture of precision micro joining equipment.
